The cashew is a tropical evergreen tree that produces the cashew seed and the cashew apple.
The roots of the tree are originated from Brazil, the tree is widely spread to India, Vietnam, Ivory Coast and Nigeria, as the world major crofts growing countries.
It can grow as high as 15m, but the dwarf cashew, growing up to 6 meters, has proved more profitable, with earlier maturity and higher yields.
The cashew seed, often simply called a cashew, is widely consumed. It is eaten as it is in a raw format, used in international base recipes, or processed into cashew butter.
